LOL, she does actually look very good in the flesh, as it were. And a really comfortable seat too.

She's shinier in the flesh, and in the pics I didn't get an idea of her scale, she's longer than I thought. And of course she has a funky seat in real life.

hope that puppy comes with an uh... seat! LOL

i like recumbents, but those extra low to the ground trikes scare me! i've lived in NY where biking is dangerous enough if you're high on a mountain bike dodging motorists LITERALLY trying to run you over or off the road for kicks, so owning a very expensive "invisible" bike doesn't work for me.

fortunately, i'm in oregon now where riding is like 10x safer easily (really) and now that i'm into street partying, lights would help visibility a lot. i'd love a bike like that for all day bike path cruising though.

BTW, nice paint job. is that your old bike customized?

Same bike as always, as for the safety aspect, recumbents thogh lower are a lot more attention grabbing than uprights. Cycling through London, everyone sees me and respects me, they don't try and overtake or do silly cutting in stuff. They notice you, where as on a upright bike they might see you but they won't notice. I feel far safer on the recumbent.

yeah... but you don't exactly have psychotic bike despising motorists there either do you? europeans don't think twice about bikers, but in NY, motorists hate your guts for simply daring to share "their" road. i don't fear cyclists... it's those fools with 2 ton planet destroying killing machines that worry me. unless you've been assaulted by motorists a FEW times, you'll never know.

even worse than cycling though is skateboarding... EVERYONE is out to get you on a skateboard. just to stay in topic, i was riding down a hill on my skateboard carrying my nice yamaha boombox once in the 80s when a car passed me on the right IN THE NEXT LANE then decided to make a right hand turn just to be a butthole. (cars drive on the right side of the road here you know)

just avoiding getting run over made me lose control so bad, i ended up off the skateboard running. i hate US motorists! he could have waited just 2 seconds for me to clear the intersection, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

i've had probably more run ins with autos than you and all your friends combined. it's a totally different culture even if we speak the same language where cars are concerned here.

haha no it's just as bad, we have the world famous black cabs who try to run everyone off the road, even other cars and hell's very own bendy buses.

that, and they're all driving on the wrong side of the road to boot.

cabs aren't as bad here... it's those dang SUV drivers you always have to look out for. they buy those monsters with an unconscious "run over everything smaller than you" mentality. after that, luxury car & street racing drivers aren't much better.
